For the Love of Community
We are not a large foundation. We don’t have 5K runs. We don’t throw galas. We simply help children in our community. Sick children, underprivileged children. We bring smiles to children. This is what we do and we do it well. Call Doylestown hospital, ask for Garrett Owens and ask him about the Abby’s Light Foundation. Ask about the impact we have had on children in the hospital. Talk to Mary Baltes at CB Cares and see how we promote Kindness in the Central Bucks School District and all over the world. Email our County Commissioner, Diane Marseglia and ask what the Random Acts of Kindness Day Proclamation is on our daughter Abby’s Birthday, November 19th.
We do many things in the community to help others in honor of our daughter not just because she passed but that’s what she did and what we want to do. Our new program Abby’s Adopted Families, takes it to another level. We have taken on our first family a Mother/Daughter that is part of this Doylestown Group. We see a dedicated Mom who will do anything to make sure her Daughter has a good start through education, kindness and just being a kid. The foundation will directly work with this family to help insure that. We hope to adopt more families if the budget allows and we identify a good healthy family dynamic.
We want to grow in the Central Bucks Community and we need your financial help. The Doylestown Facebook group alone has close to 9000 members. If 10 percent of the members donated just $20.00 to the foundation each year, we would be set. We identify the best ways to spend $30.00 on a child and have a great impact. It doesn’t take much. We do not spend thousands of dollars to promote acts of kindness all over the world. Last year we spent $$200.00 and impacted over 15,000 people. It does not take a lot of Money to do what we do but it does take money.
Here’s another way you can help. Do you own a business? Is it the type of business that can hold a fundraiser for our charity? Let’s say an exercise school, a salon, an arts and crafts facility. Most businesses could probably hold a fundraiser and we will help promote it. It brings new customers and exposure to your business and the proceeds benefit the Foundation.
Please help us grow within the community. Central Bucks is an inspiring and well off area. The foundation realizes people are tugged every which way for donations. We however don’t ask for much and if many give a little, the results are huge. Do it for the love of community. Simply go to the donation page and make whatever donation you are comfortable with.
